Frequently Asked Questions

Why is the Love Your Neighbor Auction being rescheduled?

Due to the recent surge in coronavirus infection rates in the Charleston area, and with the well-being of sponsors, attendees, volunteers and staff as the number one priority, we have decided to reschedule the 25th annual Love Your Neighbor Auction to Sunday, April 3

I have already purchased a ticket(s) for the February 13 auction date. Do I need to purchase another ticket for the rescheduled date?

No, all tickets already purchased will be honored for the rescheduled date.

What if I have already purchased a ticket for the auction, but cannot attend on April 3?

If requested, we will provide a full refund of your tickets via your original payment method.

However, if you are unable to attend the rescheduled event on April 3, 2022, and find yourself able to contribute your ticket purchase as a donation to Our Lady of Mercy Community Outreach, we would be incredibly grateful as the Love Your Neighbor Auction is our biggest fundraiser of the year and helps us fulfill our mission to the community.

Please contact Hannah Wallace at hannah.wallace@olmoutreach.org or (843) 559-4109x109 to obtain a refund.

Will I receive an invitation in the mail for the rescheduled date?

No, a mailed invitation will not be sent for the rescheduled date. If you received an invitation in the mail for the original date, you can still use the RSVP and remit envelope to mail in ticket purchases for the Love Your Neighbor Auction on April 3, 2022.

What will be your protocols for the rescheduled date to keep attendees safe?

We are actively working with event vendors on protocols that will ensure we can comfortably gather April 3 to have an unforgettable afternoon together and create opportunities for neighbors in need. These protocols will be communicated with event attendees as we get closer to the date of the event. This reflects a continued commitment to follow the latest information to keep staff, volunteers and event attendees safe.

If the coronavirus infection rates are still rising in April, will you reschedule again?

We will continue to monitor changes in Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (SCDHEC) guidance as well as day-to-day trends and adjust as necessary. Whether in-person or virtually, we will work to ensure that the 25th annual Love Your Neighbor Auction will take place this year.
