VOLUNTEER

Our Lady of Mercy Community Outreach is blessed to have over 300 active volunteers that work hard to help us achieve our mission. Volunteering has shown to increase happiness and improve your health and we make it easy for you.

All new volunteers must attend our Volunteer Orientation which is held every 4th Thursday of the month on the Johns Island site at 10:00am.  Volunteer Orientation at our downtown site, Neighborhood House, is held every 3rd Friday of the month at 10:00am.  After the Orientation, the Volunteer Services Manager schedules and conducts placement interviews. In addition, volunteers must fill out our volunteer application, background check form, and a media release form.

If you are interested in volunteering at either location, contact Jennifer Meshanko at jennifer.meshanko@olmoutreach.org or 843-559-4109 Ext. 106.

Some of the opportunities include, but are not limited to: summer camp volunteers, dental professionals, after school tutors, food pantry assistants, ESL instructors, front desk receptionists and so much more!
