Description: Volunteers will help second through fifth graders complete homework and work on study skills while serving as a role model to the youth.
Time: Varies Monday-Thursday from 3:30pm to 5pm

Dental Professionals
Description: Dentists, hygienists & dental assistants licensed in South Carolina to provide free dental care.
Time: Weekdays except for Friday. Volunteers are most needed on Thursdays from 9am to 4pm to assist with emergency dental work.

Direct Service Volunteers
Description: We are recruiting for substitute volunteers who can serve as a food pantry assistant or clothing room assistant.

Front Desk Receptionist
Description: Volunteers will answer the phone and answer general questions about the organization. Volunteers may be asked to complete other clerical tasks and assist the social services coordinator. Weekly and substitute positions are available.

Bilingual (Spanish-English) Receptionist
Description: Bilingual front desk volunteers are responsible for being the voice and welcoming face of Our Lady of Mercy Community Outreach. Activities will include answering phones, assisting patients with check-in procedures, and answer general questions about the organization in a fast-paced environment. Volunteers may be asked to complete other clerical tasks.

Clerical Assistant
Description: The volunteer clerical assistant helps the office assistant with our eligibility process to include organizing patient documents, determining eligibility status with staff's approval, helping to scan documents, make client phone calls and keeping track of eligibility information through a spreadsheet.

Weekly Van Driver
Description: The volunteer's main responsibility will be picking up food bank orders in North Charleston using the organization's van located on Johns Island. Other stops may be needed as well. Must have a clean driving record.
