CLASS ACTS - EDUCATION

Each year the Outreach assists hundreds of adults and children who are working to better their lives through education. Classes are conducted at the main campus on Brownswood Road and at the Neighborhood House in downtown Charleston. The adult education program includes family literacy, English as a Second Language, GED preparation and basic life skills. The children’s education program includes preschool services, after school tutoring and the YES, I CAN! three week summer enrichment camp.

Sponsor a day of pre-school - $25
OLM provides pre-school services to enable parents to attend education classes. What a great idea for a gift!
Sponsor an after-school study session - $50
Four afternoons a week during the school year OLM volunteers help neighborhood children with their lessons and homework.
Sponsor an adult education class - $100
OLM conducts adult education classes that cover everything from budgeting to personal hygiene. These classes improve lives!
Sponsor an "English as a Second Language" class -$250
During the day and during the evening OLM teachers and volunteers help adults to improve their English language skills. ¿Por qué no?
Sponsor a summer enrichment camper - $500
Every year OLM conducts a summer enrichment camp for area primary school students. Some of our camp alumni have returned as volunteers. You can sponsor your very own camper!
